Welcome to our blog. We are an English family living and working in Brittany. Our home and gite are near to the delightful little town of Huelgoat in beautiful Finistère.

AVALABILITY
OVERVIEW
Kervéguen gite is next door to our family home. Both are situated within nearly 6 acres of land, principally meadow which is being converted into organic kitchen/market garden. The land is south-facing and there’s a lovely view over unspoilt Breton countryside.
The gite has two bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), separate bathroom and toilet and a large kitchen/living room. All rooms have recently been redecorated and a new bathroom has been installed.
The kitchen area has a gas hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. In the living room there is a TV which receives some UK satellite channels.
There’s plenty of parking space.
There is a large, private garden area for you to enjoy, and you are free to explore the rest of the land. For a small extra charge, fresh fruit and vegetables are available according to season. Art tuition is also available - by prior arrangement.

LOCALITY
We live in the rural centre of Finistère, 1 mile from Huelgoat which is an attractive lakeside town surrounded by ancient forest. There is excellent walking and cycling in the vicinity. Thanks to the gite’s central position it’s only an hour by car to the north & west coasts and less than two hours to the beaches of the south.

GETTING HERE
Our closest ferry port is Roscoff (1 hour by car), athough St. Malo (2½ hours), Caen (3½ hours) and Cherbourg (4 hours) are also feasible. All are served by Brittany Ferries. Brest airport is 1 hour away – UK operators include Flybe, Ryan Air & Air South West.
Babies & Toddlers
We have a selection of good quality equipment for you to borrow: cots, travel cots, high chairs, push chairs etc. More room in your car for other stuff! Just ask for details.
